Assistance writing efficient SQL queries

Need assistance writing some efficient SQL statements to query a table containing hotel room data. Database is MySQL 4.0.25. The table contains the following fields: NameOfResort (like "Holiday Inn," Marriott," and so on) NameOfVendor (e.g., Expedia, Travelocity, Orbitz, etc) NightOfStay (e.g., "2006-04-30" for April 30, 2006) Cost (in US Dollars, as a float) The table contains many tens of thousands of rows. I'll probably need help creating maybe 10 queries in SQL. The main query would be to find the least expensive hotels that have available rooms for an arbitrary stay of N nights, beginning on any day. (With N and "any day" user-defined.) All of the SQL statements must run in MySQL 4.0.25, as that's not changable. I'd like to have all of the queries written and tested by April 7. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform MySQL 4.0.25 on Linux and Windows.
