1. An HTML template is done and will be provided. 2. Code will be PHP/MySQL. 3. The basic feature of the site is a link listing. There are categories, each of which has subcategories. Visitors can click on a category and see a page showing all listing in all subcategories of that category. Each subcategory links via a labeled anchor to its section of the page. 4. There is a page to submit sites to be listed in the directory. These are the fields: a. URL b. anchor text c. description d. name e. email f. phone number g. category (this to be a dropdown list) After they a submission, the code sends them an email, telling them what to validate their listing, they must add a link on their site which we will give them. We will maintain a list of such links and the code will cycle through the list of available links, when sending these emails, to distribute them equally. The email will also include the URL of the next page. 5. Our 'Link Validation' page will accept a URL of a page which is supposed to have one of our links. The domain name will have to match the domain name submitted in step 4. The code will then examine the HTML of that URL and see if the link is indeed there. If it is, then the code marks their record in the DB as valid and on what date it was validated. If it is not found, then their record is not updated. 6. There are two admin pages. One allows the site admin to view and add to the list of links which are usable by the third-party sites to link to us. 7. The other admin page allows the site admin to enter a URL of a third-party site and view that site's record in full. He can also edit the Boolean value of 'Validated' and also the date of validation. Emails to the admin will end with the form .php?url=xxx which will lead straight to the record for xxx. I will need to review the DB Schema in full before implementation and see a brief writeup as to the logic proposed for each page before implementation.
