Point collector application for Verifone terminals

We need a points collection program for Verifone swipe cards machines. When a member with a card hands his or her card to the us, we should be able to record the points collected on the machine and then periodically upload this data using the internal modem to a central database server. As part of this solution, a dialer responder needs to be created that will respond to requests from the Verifone swipe card machines and store them locally for further transmission to the database server. When enough points has been collected, a gift voucher will be sent to the card holder. When this voucher is handed over, we need to record this into the machine and this data should also be sent to the database server. As a backup, the device should also handle printing of todays activities so that this list can be mailed instead. ## Deliverables Rent A Coder requirements notice: As originally posted, this bid request does not have complete details. The end database that application will connect to is a PostgreSQL database running on an OpenBSD server. The responder application needs to run on an OpenBSD 3.7 server.
