Required fields in PHP script

I need someone to update a simple php script so that all 4 of the fields on a form are "required." Two fields are normal text fields. Two fields are pop up list fields which show a default value of "Select One." I want to require form submitters to make a choice other than the default value in the pop up list fields. If all four required fields are not completed, I want the form submitter to be taken to a generic error page. You do NOT have to create the error page. In the future, I may want to add another field or two to this form. Therefore, I woud like to also receive instrutions on how to adjust the script to make these additional fields required. This job should be a "piece of cake" for someone who knows what they are doing!
