The technology is a based on 3 core concepts a. Open CV for intel implementation of Viola-Jones detection algorithm b. JNI as a native adpater for C++ interface c. Haarclassifier are the xml file that are created on the fly to store the face detection policy. - OpenCV-Haarclassifier-Detection - JNI adapter to Intel's OpenCV implementation of the Viola-Jones detection algorithm. - Eigenface-Recognition - A pure Java-based implementation of the Eigenfaces approach. The Code is running on Windows AMD machine. It needs to be implemented on Linux machine (CentOS 5.5) by making a jnlp (web start) of the exectuable jar file. The GUI is accepting a generalized path to the folder but a code is already written to make in static path. The coding and testing is already done. One has to make sure that webstart is running on Linux machine and the faces are tagged to the database based on the name stored on the GUI.
