Java Data Comparison

Create a JavaScript App to be inserted on a webpage that displays a list of text files located on a server. When a user chooses a file, it is loaded into the JavaScript Applet and is analyzed (see details below). Once the analysis is finished the results are then sent back to the server. See attached word document (1 page) for a more detailed explanation. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. I would like to create a simple webpage that displays the .csv files in a certain web directory (currently [login to view URL]) (if the accessibilities of this directory haven't been changed yet an example file can be found at [login to view URL]) This listing could be a simple html page with links or something more complicated, I don’t care how it looks. From this web page I would like to be able to choose a listed file, say click a link, that would take me to another page where the chosen data file would be uploaded to the page with JavaScript so that it could be analyzed. Once it is analyzed the report/analysis must be sent back to the server somehow. I don’t know if this can even be done with JavaScript but it could be another part of the page. Please suggest so lutions as I do not have a clue. I would like to use JavaScript because I know that the calculations would be performed on the client side (important) and that many people’s browsers run JavaScript without any additional installations. I would prefer not to use PHP because I know even less about that than I do about JavaApplaScripts :) but if you can convince me that it is superior to JavaScript for this application I could try it.
