Weather Script

We are seeking the development of a data-miner script that can read data from the Australian Bureau of Meteorology's website placing the data into a MySQL database for later access by a website. Data is from Automatic Weather Stations and is updated frequently The script developed will need to run on a configurable cron schedule so as to keep the data up-to-date. The script needs to be able to search for specific data and return only the data requested to the database so that fields of this data can be accessed by a website. Examples of the data required can be viewed at: [login to view URL] l [login to view URL] The added ability of being able to pull similar data from other sources such as METAR, [login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL] or similar for overseas locations would also be required. There are however plenty of GPL code snippets that could possibly be incorporated for this. an admin interface that can be used to pull data into a database from other data such as snow reports is also required. A simple yet functional admin interface allowing the admin to select what data is mined and stored is required also ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
