Joomla/PHP Project Update

We have a contest called the Dolls Awards of Excellence. The process works as follows: People interested in entering the contest go to our website and fill out a nomination form. (The first nomination entry costs $75—and this year we need to add an option $85 with a 1 year subscription to DOLLS Magazine—in other words, add $10 if you’d like to include a subscription; all additional nominations cost $50 each.) The next stage of the process involves the judges being able to log in, view the nominations and vote on them. And lastly, we need to add a stage where subscribers can enter their subscription number and email address and then they are allowed one vote online. We also have a system in place on the admin side where paper ballots mailed to us are entered by us in-house. I wasn’t involved in this process in the past, so I have little to no knowledge about how to go about it. But we have a new list of entry categories, so that’s the main component that needs to be updated, but also adding that subscription addition for $10. Here’s the timeline: 10/22 - We need the nomination entry form process updated (new categories and $10 subscription option). We may have additional text changes after that point, the functionality must be completed by that date. Since we are already past this deadline the new deadline will be determined by the freelance bidder. The sooner the better. MUST BE LIVE by Nov 5. 1/09 – We will need the judges section working and updated by January (I don’t know if anything will need to be done with that or not—maybe you’ll be able to tell as you get involved in the project). Summer 09 – Online voting capabilities (subscribers can enter subscription number or possibly link from digital edition of magazine to the voting page). We don’t have the details hammered out yet. Again, as you get involved with this, you may see the best way to proceed. Once a feelancer is chosen and terms are finalized, I will send site and database info.
