My script was working fine for months. Last night I installed a 2nd database on a domain this script ran on. After creating that 2nd database, my first script no longer is working, and gives the following error:
**Warning**: mysql_connect(): Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client in **/home/rockle4e/public_html/adserver/[login to view URL]** on line **58**
Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client
I deleted the 2nd database, thinking that would fix it. It didn't. I have Webhostmanager and Cpanel. I think PHP 4.4 and under used db_connect(); and thats why although my script worked before, now its not, because it doesnt seem to know what mysql_connect(); means.
Being that the script worked a few hours ago, this seems a simple fix.
Thanks.
