There is an existing "canned" logo from a logo-generating website that needs customization. I know just enough Photoshop Elements to be dangerous, so I can show you something crude representing the idea I want. I know ALMOST what I want it to look like but am open for some suggestions about style or font. I need to take this to a level that can be scalable for everything from signs to business cards. This isn't a place for flat words or pictures on paper, no orbs and swooshes--the character exists, we just need to make it "mine." The end result of this project will be an iconic style logo with some dimension. It is distinct enough that it will be instantly recognizable to people once they have seen it. Some creativity will be needed in placing the business name artfully, so as not to overpower the icon, but not to lose it either. (Although I do hope at some point that the icon could stand alone without the name.) And, since its origins were from a generic logo site, I need to ensure that we provide enough uniqueness that it won't accidentally show up elsewhere. The person who is awarded this project will have extensive logo design experience and possibly some Illustratrator or something similar. For someone with that kind of background, this will not be a lengthy project. For now, I am placing the description without the existing graphic because I think the right kind of designer will read this brief and understand it well enough to decide whether they want to bid on it.
