Wordpress responsive image slider tweaks

I have a responsive web site with an image slider on the home page that requires tweaking so that the extra whitespace that appears above and below it is removed. The second issue is that the image slider is not working responsively as it should as it scales up and down poorly when changing the browser width between mobile sizes and desktop sizes. I require an experience front end developer who has worked with responsive frameworks to fix this.
