Write some Software

We are a dropshipping company that has been growing fast in the last 5 years and we need to expand. Software is our weak point. We run on a proprietary software that needs to be fixed (PHP-AWS-SQL based), improved and or be completely rebuilt. The software fetches millions of price data from amazon and updates a giant database on an hourly basis. Data is then loaded hourly to different marketplaces like Amazon, ebay... We have the need to develop and run the following features: - Make the software more robust, faster, scalable and manageable (complete rebuilt might be needed) - Develop a user-end semi automatic buying interface for us, not final customer) - Develop a customer service system based on gmail - Maintain the software for smooth running on a daily basis - You have to fully understand the ins and outs of a dropshipping company - Exceptionally good communication skills, people skills and seniority in the field are factors that impact our choice. We need a consultant more than just a developer. A person that will take ownership of all processes, discusses development, problems and proposes solutions. You act as an independent company with the possibility to partner with us in the future (we partner with 3 other companies for some services). This is a part-time or full time position, depending on workload. You work from your location but have to be available 5 days a week on Skype for constant flow of information (at least at first). IMPORTANT: - You must be able to prove experience in AWS (at least 2 years) - You must be located in the New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont or Maine area (we will make an exception if you provide proof of exceptional skills or references). - You must be available to meet in person on a monthly basis, later on a once every 2 months basis. We will meet with you, you don't have to travel of fly anywhere. - You must sign a non disclosure and non compete agreement before starting. - You will have to release all code, transparency is a must PLEASE DON'T APPLY IF: - You are not located within the areas mentioned - You are looking for a temporary position or have other life plans other than being a serious developer.
