Let me explain to you how this works and then you can tell me if we are on the same page. So, your goal is to check a 3rd party website on a periodic interval for a alteration in it's DATABASE. Your second goal is to get notified immediately when an open slot is available. So here are the things needed to accomplish this. And oh! yes ... I am writing this assessment based on the assumption that you have no access to the website whatsoever ... 1) Create a database platform that can mimic the database of the source website so that it can ping and request for data and receive the data in the same format as to be able to check if the data file indicates the availability for an open slot 2) An API based authentication session to connect with the website to authenticate my application as a legitimate user that wants to check for dates ... the protocol to be used here is AOUTH Token Validation 3) A server : so that I can set the CRON job of it to check every hour or whatever interval you dictate (google cron job for bettter understanding) 4) Sending an alert to your Phone: This is the easy part, by just connecting an SMS gateway to send you a Howdy Alert (push notification) Please let me know when you are available between 10 am to 9pm IST so that you and I can talk on a zoom call.
