Hi , I can do this task faster and better than anybody here. I have experience in working with COM ports both in Dot NET and python. I mean usually an SDK is provided by vendors of the hardware , since it is SMART METER , it must have an SDK. If vendor does provides an SDK then it's not much of a work. But there is no SDK, we will have to look into many things like protocol being used, COM port settings and register addresse, it will be more dev but still do able. Here is what you will get if you decide to go with me: * Fully functional and error prone code * If SDK is available then we will use SDK otherwise I will develop a custom solution and I will make sure that customs solution is also according to industry standard * Future support for both maintenance and modification in case some rules or protocols are changed. * After the project is complete I will provide training to help you use the system effectively.
