TOS Data Bridge Troubleshooting & Modification - GUI Development

Job Post: Python Developer for TOS Data Bridge Modification We are seeking a skilled Python developer for the following work. 1. Troubleshooting issues with TOS Data Bridge and GUI interface. "TOS Data Bridge GUI is not working" Develop and implement solutions to fix issues found in TOS Data Bridge. 2. Modify the TOS Data Bridge application to interact with the Thinkorswim OnDemand application and enable the pulling of historical ticker data within a time aggregate of 1 second. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing modifications that allow for the saving of data to the proper file location and developing a desktop GUI interface for manual operation of applications. 3. Troubleshoot any issues that arise, including but not limited to server crashes, application failures, and network connectivity issues. Monitor the server to ensure that all applications are running smoothly. Responsibilities: - Develop and implement solutions to fix issues with TOS Data Bridge and GUI interface. - Modify TOS Data Bridge to interact with Thinkorswim OnDemand application. - Enable pulling of historical ticker data within a time aggregate of 1 second. - Data Saving, save to text file using format found below. - Develop a GUI interface for manual operation of TOS Data Bridge and TOS Data Bridge modifications. - Ensure that the pull function operates in a regulated manner to avoid overwhelming any system - Create code documentation that explains the code in detail, including code deployment instructions - Create in-code documentation that explains the code in detail Requirements: - Proven experience as a Python developer, with a strong understanding of the language and its libraries - Familiarity with the Thinkorswim application and TOS Data Bridge is a plus - Experience developing GUI interfaces in Python - Excellent attention to detail and ability to write clear and concise code documentation - Strong communication skills and ability to work independently GUI Requirements: - Ticker selection function - Date range and time aggregate (second/minute) - Execution button - Operational status display (working/complete) Resources: - Your local machine for code development - Thinkorswim application - TOS Data Bridge application - Your personal Thinkorswim account for testing Code Deployment - Deploy code to our EC2 Windows Server using established deployment processes and tools. Data Saving - Text File objects will be named with Ticker identification symbols e.g. {AAPL) - File Format of Object (Text File) : {DateTime, Open, High, Low, Close, Volume} - Data Example: 2005-01-03 08:00:00,0.9879,0.9884,0.9879,0.9884,39200 - Timezone is US Eastern Time - Timeframes : 1-minute, 1-second - Timestamps run from the start of the period (eg 1min bars stamped 09:30 run from 09:30.00 to 09:30.59) - Times with zero volume are omitted (thus gaps in the data sequence are when there have been no trades) Only minutes with trading volume are included. Bars with zero volume are excluded. This is a remote contract position with flexible hours.
