I'm a native French speaker who's lived, worked and studied in the UK for 8 years. I graduated with a master in Journalism and have been writing, translating and editing in both French and English for the past three years. My work's been published by New Internationalist, Red Pepper, The Guardian, Talking Drugs, The Santiago Times, teleSUR, and many others.
As far as translation work is concerned, I have translated many websites, CVs, a couple of films (subtitle writing), as well as letters and articles. I am perfectly fluent in both languages after having gained so much experience surrounding the writing and editing industry.
My favourite colour is blue; a deep turquoise, a nice blend of dark green and sea blue - to be more precise. Blue always transports me elsewhere, to memories of the beach, of the sea, of times spent with friends, lovers, family. To me, blue is the most evocative colour of all. There are so many variations of it, and it's found in the most beautiful places in nature.
Mon plat préféré est la tarte flambée; c'est une spécialité de la région d'où je viens, l'Alsace. A Strasbourg, et dans les villages alentours, la tarte flambée est partagée le dimanche en famille, dans des restaurants typiques et sans prétention. La tradition veut qu'une seule tarte soit commandée pour la table, généralement coupée en 6, et chacun se sert une part; puis la suivante arrive. Vous n'avez jamais goûté? Je vous la recommande!
