Greetings! Allow me to tell you a bit about my background and experience...
I currently live in Ecuador and serve as a Public Interpreter (Spanish/English), English Professor and facilitator for English-speaking expats living in South America. I have also worked as a Venezuelan-based teacher, a bilingual Executive Assistant and as both a freelance and employed translator for 15+ years on behalf of multinational organizations including Chubb Group, Ernst & Young (EY), Sincor Upstream Facilities in joint Venture with Otepi Consultores and Intercontinental Hotels.
My diploma was obtained in the República Bolivariana de Venezuela, and I received my bachelor’s degree in educational psychology (Psychopedagogy) with a specialty in childhood learning disorders from Colegio Universitario Jean Piaget, Caracas, Venezuela.
I am TEFL certified (online, 2020) and achieved C2 International English Certification (Guayaquil, Ecuador, 2019) and ESL certification (Pima County Community College, Tucson, AZ, 1994).
I welcome the opportunity to assist you with any document requiring translation between English and Spanish. I augment my skills daily with English/Spanish exchanges in real time, and learn about the world through the eyes of foreign nationals and non-native citizens.
Thank you for considering my translation services.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Best regards,
María Mercedes Salazar Mata
