I have a csv file, need to convert to txt file, and add some control numbers and stuff. Make a macro in excel 2010 who starts to load the csv file into new spreadsheet and converts the data to apply to the description, and exports it to a txt file. It should start asking for location of csv file, (then automatic conversion process), then ask for save location of txt file. There is a twist with Danish characterset meaning that "," and "." is reversed. It can mean that, when a macro is working on an english mashine, it will not on a danish pc, beware of this. This final work is considered working on a Danish characterset mashine. Conversion process is documented in attached files. Sample of csv file: Ydelsesoversigt (1.6) Sample of output file: Output_txt_file Description of conversion (page 12-29 +60): BS_vejledning_DL_0601 There is one or more pages of description for each line txt created. I have gone through the details as well as the attached stuff. The pdf is quite lengthy,i am looking into it. As far as danish and English version is concerned, we can make two separate macros , one for English and one for danish so that we could keep track of "," and "." in danish version.

Considering it has some Danish characters in importing, it is better if the reading data file using binary method so the data will be read and write into original format, and we could do some specific encoding so it will work on either english or danish OS machine. let me know if this method is acceptable so I estimate this would need not more than 2 days in programming the macro, even quicker.
