As the project owner, I'm seeking an expert programmer to build a web scrapping tool that can effectively scrape specific data across 1000's of web pages. The specific websites for this web scrapping operation will be college and university athletic pages. Therefore, among the required skills is the versatility to adapt to different websites' structures and frameworks. In terms of data structure, the scraped data should be organized and stored in a Google Sheets according to categories. This approach allows for a more coherent and systematic pattern for data analysis and representation. The ideal professional for this task should possess: - Proficiency in web scrapping - Expertise in Python or other relevant programming language - Experience with Google Sheets and database creation - High attention to detail - Demonstrable ability to classify and categorize data. The goal of this project is to track changes over time, based on the data scrapped. This requires a design that will facilitate easy updates and quick overview of changes. Hence, knowledge and experience in data visualization will be an added advantage. I've added a few screenshots of examples of the data we are looking to capture on a bi-weekly or monthly basis. The tool must be flexible enough and something that I can easily update data needs as frequently as needed.
