I have 3 Windows 2008 Servers, each running RRAS / VPN to allow expatriates to watch British TV online. One is fine, but two others are creating problems as follows:
- One server allows users to login with PPTP and L2TP, but they lose connectivity after connecting to the server
- One server is now returning Error 809 for L2TP users
Both issues happened without any apparent reason (no changes on our side) and our server hosts are painfully slow with technical support and reluctant to do anything related to configuration ... so I would really like this sorted quickly.
I think it's a small job, and the issue is either a configuration tweak in NPS or RRAS, or, at most, reconfiguring RRAS. Note, servers have just one NIC, so it's the 'custom configuration' path ...

Hi there,
- One server allows users to login with PPTP and L2TP, but they lose connectivity after connecting to the server ----> Users must uncheked "Default gateway on their VPN connections"
- Error 809 - I have to login to server to check this error
Regards,
Tom
