Love marrige = All the Hindu God and Goddess actually had love marriage, Shiv Parvati being the torch bearer. Their love continued till ages and in different births. In the first form(Sati), they also had a haughty adamant father who isn't approving the groom. The second birth(Parvati) was relatively peaceful. Then, Ram Sita were love at first sight couple. Krishna Rukmani eloped. So, love marriage is actually the most common type of marriage in Hindu mythology.
Arranged marriage comes in practice after the Mughal empire in India and it is similar to nikah ( Muslim Marriage) where they are not allowed to select their partner only the parents will decide.
