I am a passionate owner of a care company that provides living accommodation to young adults that are at risk of being homeless. The young people who are living there are supported by a staff member being on site at all times as they are supported to become fully independent. We provide 'supported living' accommodation to young people between the ages of 17 - 24. Most of our young people have grown up in care however some arrive to us due to a break down in their home setting. The scheme is called "Supporting People Programme" and the document relating to their practice guidance is attached. The application needs to provide a response to 6 areas of questioning. A draft of this is attached. However, there is a lack of an academic/ professional approach to the writing and it does not tie in the supporting people guidance document - it is purely written from the heart. Please could you familiarise yourself with the supporting people guidance and then re-write a response to the 6 questions on the attached word document. As an entity we provide a fantastic service at the ground level and we are striving to convey this through the written word of the application.
