This is a first small proof-of-concept test for a larger project idea. A successful job here will lead to further development work if the project goes ahead. Please read the detail here carefully and only reply if you have the requited skills. A previous experience in Google Maps API is a must. For this POC, we'll meed a single page website that allows visitors to type in their top 3-5 point of interests (POI) in the city that they live in. The map will be displayed and as they type the location, it will be verified against Google's data and put a marker on the map of that location. They can do that up to 5 times for different locations. This data will be collected in the most simple database to show which POI are the most popular so at the end we have a list of locations sorted by popularity. Drawing walking or driving directions from each point is an option for us later but the data mining is all that is needs to do (for now). Dawn. Hi I can do your project on this way, I will create html page with form and Google Map. HTML page will control with jquery(javascript library), user will add 3-5 point depend of address, and that point will show on map , form will have save button where user can save points or can save one by one without save button , jquery will send ajax request to php script and that script will check if that address exist in database if exists will increment popularity column if not exists will add new row. DAWN Hi As we understood the Web application will provide facility to user to enter 3-5 preferred location. The data will be stored in some simple database and will be retrieved by the admin to get a listing of popular location. The requirement does not talk about validation like city boundary, no of locations, Data Format etc. The requirement also does not talk about Application hosting. The above quotation is placed considering the requirement as above. We can discuss the get more clarity on the requirement part.

"DAWN" I can do this for you no problem in 2 days with testing. I have a back end that performs the data mining task it will just have to be modified to meet your parameters and hooked into a front end. Are you aware of the limitations with the google api for the number of calls that can be made per day before paying them a fee? You can either have multiple keys and switch between them or pay per use on googles service after the quota limit has been reached. Depending on the number of users you have it may not even be an issue.
